General Dentist & Practice Founder
FICOI, FLVI
Dr. Ezzat Abdoun, "Dr. A" to his patients, founded Front Royal Dental Group. He earned his dental degree at Cairo University School of Dental Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Dade County Dental Research Clinic in Miami. He continued with the Advanced General Dentistry Group at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
His implant training came from the program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, directed by Dr. Dennis Tarnow. Much of Dr. Tarnow's research looks at how bone and gum behave around an implant years after placement. Dr. Abdoun also holds Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, one of the largest bodies in implant dentistry.
At the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies he earned Fellowship status in aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation and occlusion. Occlusion is how your teeth meet when you close. It matters because a tooth carries force in one direction and tolerates it poorly from another. Rebuild several teeth without checking where the bite lands and the new work takes the load the old teeth used to share. That is why porcelain chips, crowns come loose and jaw muscles ache months after the dentistry looked finished.
Dr. Abdoun works mostly in full-arch restorations (All-on-4 and All-on-X), single-tooth implants and smile design. He plans every case digitally before the lab starts anything.
